Simon’s initial study at Paddington College London, he left after being offered a job at age of 17 with Britannia Row, Pink Floyd’s production company.

He literally started by sweeping the floors and graduated by soaking in the knowledge of the characters around him. Within a year he was touring as a member of International touring parties for such groups as The Cure and Jackson Browne.

Through the next 20 years followed, Dire Straits, Duran Duran, Toto and of course Pink Floyd. He was head monitor engineer at Party at the Palace on occasion of the Queen's Golden Jubilee. He was liaison for Bruce Jackson sound designer, for the Opening and closing ceremonies Sydney Olympics 2000. Another role was held as audio consultant to SOCOG and responsible for system design and tuning at all venues for the 2000 games. He is a prominent engineer within the Australian corporate market & Audio Production manager for the Pope's visit too Sydney in 2008.

He is happy to bring his wealth of experience to the Illawarra.
